"Support actually came through"
I had a small issue with my order and reached out to support, they got back to me quicker than I expected. They explained what was going on, fixed it without a bunch of back and forth, and kept things simple. I did have to wait a little at first, not a huge deal, but worth mentioning. Overall, though, helpful experience.

"Sync is still unreliable"
I actually like typing on it — the writing experience is nice — but the sync is really hit or miss. Sometimes my drafts show up late, and other times they don’t show up at all. It gets annoying after a while...

"Really nice keyboard, especially for long sessions"
I bought my Freewrite mostly because I needed something for longer writing sessions, the keyboard ended up being my favorite part. I’m kind of picky about keys, probably because I spend way too much time typing and then blame my hands when I don’t get enough done, but these feel really good. They’re solid without being too heavy, and I can actually type for a while without feeling worn out. The click is satisfying but not obnoxious. It took me about a day to adjust, though that might just be me being slow with new gadgets, but now my laptop keyboard feels flat in comparison
"Finally got me writing again"
I didn’t realize how much all those stupid tabs and dumb notifications were wrecking my focus until I tried Freewrite. It’s simple, kind of old-school, and that’s the whole point. I just sit down, stop messing around, and actually get words on the page instead of falling into internet nonsense

"Sturdy overall, but a little disappointing"
It feels solid in hand, and at first I was happy with it. After a few months though, some of the keys started feeling a bit loose, which was kind of frustrating. I’ve been mentally drained lately, so dealing with little stuff like this feels more annoying than it probably should. It’s not a bad product, I just expected it to hold up a bit better.

"Nice for writing, but editing gets frustrating"
I really like the distraction-free writing part. It makes it easy to just sit down and get words out without messing with too many options. But when I go back to edit, actually, when I try to do anything beyond basic cleanup, it starts feeling limited. Moving text around or working through longer drafts gets annoying fast. For first drafts, it’s solid. After that, not so much

"Cloud sync has been really frustrating"
I’ve had cloud sync fail on me multiple times, and I ended up losing drafts twice. It’s not even about the occasional glitch, I can deal with that, but losing work I thought was saved is just really frustrating. Definitely not happy with the experience so far.

"Super easy to carry around, and comfy too"
I thought the Freewrite was gonna be kinda bulky or annoying to move around, but nope. It’s light enough that I just grab it and use it on the couch, at my desk, wherever really.
The shape is nicer than I expected too. Doesn’t feel weird on my wrists, and I can type for a while without getting all irritated. Sounds like a small thing, but it really does make using it way better.

"Cool concept, but the price still stings"
I really liked the look of the Freewrite and the whole “just write” idea, especially since I’m already tired of every device trying to shove apps, alerts, and automated nonsense in my face. It does what it says, and it works fine, but for the price, I expected it to feel like a better value. At full price, it’s just hard to justify. I don’t hate it, but I do kind of regret not waiting for a sale...

"Actually got me writing again"
I picked this up because I kept getting distracted every time I tried to write, it helped more than I expected. It feels like it’s designed to quietly keep you from wandering off into other stuff, which I guess is exactly the point. I ended up getting pages done way faster than usual, and for once I didn’t feel like I was fighting my own brain the whole time...

"Easy delivery, even while I was stuck waiting around"
I ordered from getfreewrite.com and the shipping was way less stressful than I expected. I usually feel kind of trapped once I’m waiting on a package, especially when tracking doesn’t update, but they sent the tracking email quickly and it actually kept moving along. The package showed up on time, maybe even a day early, and the box was in good shape too. Overall it was a really easy experience and I don’t have any complaints.

"Setup was fine, but a little clunky"
Am I the only one who found the Freewrite setup mostly okay, but not quite as smooth as expected? I got through it in the end, but I did hit a couple moments where I had to pause and figure out what the instructions were actually telling me to do.
The onboarding felt a bit slow too, and I ended up clicking around more than I thought I would just to get comfortable. It wasn’t a huge hassle or anything, but I do think it could be a little more straightforward for someone brand new.

"More reliable than I expected, with one little glitch"
I wasn’t expecting the software to feel this stable, but it’s been solid overall. The only issue I ran into was one freeze right after a firmware update, which made me a little nervous at first. A quick reboot fixed it, though, and it hasn’t happened again since. It’s not completely flawless, but for daily writing, I trust it more than I thought I would.

"I really like the concept, but the..."
I really like the concept, but the screen glare gets annoying after a while... especially if I’m trying to type for longer stretches. It makes it harder to read than I expected.

"Warranty repair was a headache all over again"
I like the device, but dealing with the warranty repair was such a pain. It took way too long to get straight answers, and I kept having to follow up just to hear what was going on. It had that “here we go again” feeling, like the same kind of issue I’ve already dealt with before. For something this expensive, I really expected the support process to be a lot smoother when something goes wrong. Not the worst experience ever, but it definitely left me tired and annoyed
"Not really ideal for traveling"
I picked this up thinking it would be a nice option for writing while traveling, but after using it on one trip, I kind of realized it’s probably not the best fit for that kind of thing.
It felt bulkier in my bag than I expected, and I kept worrying it would get bumped or damaged while I was moving around. The battery was fine enough, but overall it just didn’t feel as easy to travel with as I had hoped.
I’m sure it would be okay if you’re mostly using it at home, but based on my experience, I wouldn’t really choose it for flights, cafes, or days where you’re constantly on the go.

"Great to write with, if you don’t mind babysitting the battery"
I really do like how this feels to write with—it’s smooth and comfortable, so no complaints there. The battery, though, drains faster than I expected, which is a little annoying. It’s not a total dealbreaker or anything, but I guess I just assumed I wouldn’t have to charge it quite so often
